An old, eighteenth-century manor house is undoubtedly a place worth seeing in Tarnowskie Góry. Today, it houses a restaurant and the local seat of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society. The charming interior of the restaurant, together with a collection of old items, is a venue for exhibitions and concerts. The building is called “ manor house of Goethe”. The German poet stayed here for two days in 1790, when he came to Tarnowskie Góry to see the steam engine and explore the local mines.
