The church of Saints Peter and Paul in Tarnowskie Góry was passed to the Catholics in 1630. Previously, since its construction (around 1530), it was used by Protestants. In the nineteenth century, the building was rebuilt in the neo-Romanesque style. Among other architectural elements, a tower has remained from the original building. From the beginning of the eighteenth century, Saint Barbara, patron of the miners, has especially been venerated in the church. Inside the church, we will find Renaissance, Baroque and later monuments.
