The winding tower of the mine shaft "Krystyna" in the coal mine "Szombierki" in Bytom is one of the most original constructions of this type in Silesia. It was built in 1928, replacing the original tower named "Kaiser Wilhelm" of the then mine "Hohenzollern". They introduced here a pioneering solution of mounting an electrical winding engine on top of the tower. . Its shape is often compared to the characteristic mining hammer. The winding tower is 57 m tall.
