The cemetery at Cieszyńska Street has been used by the Jews of Bielsko-Biała for over a half century. Although the first Jews arrived in Bielsko in the seventeenth century, but the Jewish cemetery was founded only in 1849. It was located in the present district of Aleksandrowice in Bielsko. More than 1,000 graves have been preserved to this day, including those of many distinguished citizens of Bielsko, such as Professor Michael Berkowitz and Solomon Pollak.
