The Bytom Church of Saint John of Nepomuk is located in Lagiewniki, an old, once farming and later industrial settlement, which for centuries has been associated with the city on the Bytomka river. The church was built in the late nineteenth century. Efforts to build the church lasted almost half a century. The neo-Gothic design was prepared by Paul Jankisch, a known architect from Bytom. The interior from the twentieth century was designed Adrian Szendzielorz.
