Chropaczów, once an independent commune, is one of the districts of Świętochłowice, an industrial center, which officially became a city only in 1947. At the beginning of the last century, a town hall was erected in Chropaczów, which was to serve both a commune self-government and commercial purposes. In the years 1911-1912, an elegant brick building was erected, which was designed in the North German Renaissance style. The distinctive element of the town hall is a corner tower, topped with a pyramidal dome.
