Wilkowiecko is a small village, located west of Częstochowa. The village went down in history thanks to Mikołaj of Wilkowiecko, a Pauline monk who lived in the sixteenth century and wrote the famous "History of the Glorious Resurrection of the Lord". The church of Saint Nicholas stands in the village. Its current appearance is the result of the reconstruction carried out in the first half of the last century. In the nearby fields there was a heavy fighting during the Battle of Mokra, in September 1939.
