The Parish Church of Saint Leonard Abbot in Mykanów was built in the first half of the nineteenth century. Previously, there had been at least two successive, wooden churches on this site, because the history of the parish goes back to medieval times. The present, neo-Gothic church was designed by Enrico Marconi, an outstanding architect of Italian origins, who worked on Polish lands in the first half of the nineteenth century.
