Throughout 60 years of its activity the Polish National Song and Dance Ensemble "Śląsk" in memory of Stanisław Hadyna has gained recognition not only in Poland but also abroad. It represents a "wealth of Silesian culture against the heritage of other regions of the country." In the twenty-first century, the ensemble has also created the Silesian Centre for Regional Education. This project includes not only the renovation of the magnificent palace in Koszęcin, home to the ensemble, but also "the dissemination of cultural heritage" – especially of Silesia - among adults, children and young people.
