The parish of Saint Michael the Archangel in Michałkowice, a district of Siemianowice Śląskie, is one of the oldest in Upper Silesia. It may have been created in the second half of the thirteenth century. Initially, wooden churches served the believers served here, and at the end of the eighteenth century, a Baroque church was erected here. The today's church was built in 1902-1904. It was designed in the Neo-Romanesque style by Ludwig Schneider.
