A magnificent palace, which at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries belonged to the Schön family of German origins, the owners of the Sosnowiec textile plants, stands in the northern part of Sosnowiec, in the district of Środulka. At present, it houses an exhibition of Polish utility glassware, the only such exhibition in Poland. Not far from the main palace there is the so-called Wihelm’s palace erected by Saxonian industrialists in 1900.
