The Palace in Bestwina

The village of Bestwina, which is a village and the seat of the commune, is located in the district of Bielsko. The first mention of the village dates back to 1326, so does its name, although it is believed that the village is much older. At the time of Mieszko I, there was a settlement of the Vistulans here. The Polish troops under the command of king John III Sobieski passed through Bestwina on their way to Vienna. From the nineteenth century to the Second World War, the village belonged to the Habsburg Żywiec, who in the 20s of the XIX century built a palace here.

The present brick church was built in the second half of the sixteenth century on the place of a wooden object. The equipment of the church includes the bell called "King of Glory," which has a war exile. On the nearby cemetery, Leon Karol Habsburg is buried. He was a Polish patriot - an officer fighting in the Polish-Bolshevik war
It is unacceptable to be in Barcelone and not to see the Basilica of Sagrada Familia, designed by legendary Antonio Gaudi. The same concerns the church of Christ the Redeemer in Czechowice-Dziedzice, an unusual shrine, built just several years ago. Its brick structure with conspicuous towers impresses architects from all over the world.

The shrine has Baroque features. Inside the church, the main altar and a richly decorated pulpit are worth seeing.
