In Siemianowicka Street in Chorzów, our attention is drawn to a complex of buildings that look like a small medieval castle. However, these buildings were erected in the second decade of the last century as the shaft named “Elżbieta (Elisabeth)” of the coal mine “Król (King)”. It served simply as a ventilation and transport duct, but the architect designed it in the romantic NeoGothic style. Currently, there is a restaurant there.
