The church of Saint Mary Magdalene in Chorzów Stary is the seat of the oldest parish in the city. The church was built probably at the turn of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries in the settlement founded in 1257 by the Order of the Holy Sepulcher from Miechów. However, the current building comes from 1888-1892. It was designed by Josef Ebers. It is a neo-Gothic building, with a dominant tower with a height of 75 m. Inside the church, we can see, inter alia, paintings by Juliusz Makarewicz.
