The Orchestra of the ROW Philharmonic in Rybnik was active in years 1960-1995. Its foundation is associated two brothers, Karol and Antoni Szafranek, who popularized music in Silesia in the interwar period. The orchestra was liquidated in the 90s of the twentieth century, but on 27th November 1999, as the Rybnick Philharmonic, it resumed work with a concert in the Saint Basilica of Saint Anthony
