Located in the district of Bielsko, Wilamowice is undoubtedly one of the most interesting towns in the province. It was founded in the mid thirteenth century by the settlers from Friesland and Flanders and from other Western European countries. For centuries, a unique dialect, clothes and customs have been preserved here. The village has also a number of historic buildings, which include houses in the market square and in several other places. Wilamowice lies on the Wooden Architecture Route.
