Bielsko-Biała Aleksandrowice Airfield is currently a sport airfield, which is the base of the Aero Club of Bielsko-Biała. It is an open, windy area with nice views. It is also a recreational space, attracting modelers. In summer there is a restaurant and a playground here. Before the war, much higher aspirations were associated with the local airport. The idea of building an airfield in Aleksandrowice was conceived in around 1928.

Polish fortifications built in 1939 in the region of Bielsko were part of a defensive system, which had a length of about 10 km and was located in the area of the stream valleys of the Wapienica and Iłownica and the Klimczok massif. The fortifications protected the city from the west and north, and were one of the largest networks of the Polish positions in that time. They were constructed in the spring and summer of 1939. 21 shelters, which were then built, have been preserved until today.

St. Stanislaus Church in Old Bielsko is the oldest church in the city. According to tradition, the church was erected in the 1130s on the site of a deforested sacred pagan grove, in the vicinity of a defensive settlement, from which the city originated. The preserved church Gothic church was built at the end of the 14th century. The interior masterpiece is an altar triptych from about 1500. It depicts the life and miracles of Saint Stanislaus of Szczepanowo.

The cemetery at Cieszyńska Street has been used by the Jews of Bielsko-Biała for over a half century. Although the first Jews arrived in Bielsko in the seventeenth century, but the Jewish cemetery was founded only in 1849. It was located in the present district of Aleksandrowice in Bielsko. More than 1,000 graves have been preserved to this day, including those of many distinguished citizens of Bielsko, such as Professor Michael Berkowitz and Solomon Pollak.

There are many interesting monuments within Old Bielsko including remnants of the medieval stronghold with a moat which has been preserved to our times. During the Thirty Years’ War the Swedish troops occupied the area. There are two churches: a Catholic one of Saint Stanislaus and a Protestant of John the Baptist in the vicinity.
