The church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the most important part of the Cistercian monastery and palace complex in Rudy. It is one of the oldest shrines of Silesia. Its pride is the image of the Madonna and Child, revered for centuries by local believers as miraculous. Originally, the church was Gothic, as is the image of the Madonna, dating back to the fifteenth century. In 1995, the bishop of the Diocese of Gliwice raised the church to the rank of the Diocesan Sanctuary of Our Lady the Humble of Rudy.
