The church in the housing estate of Stałe in Jaworzno is one of the symbols of the struggle of the inhabitants of Silesia for their own place of worship. For many years, they were struggling with the communist authorities. According the communist authorities, the new housing estate was supposed to be an atheist place for the supporters of Marxism-Leninism. The main patron of the parish is Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The second is the patron Saint Maximilian Kolbe. The history of the local shrine is close connected with the Polish Pope, John Paul II.
