Czerniańskie Lake in the town of Wisła was created in 1973 by building a concrete on in the Vistula in the village of Wisła Czarne. The reservoir is filled with waters of the Czarna Wisełka and Biała Wisełka rivers, which flow down from Mount Barania Góra. The lake serves as a retention reservoir and as a source of drinking water for the inhabitants of Wisła and Ustroń. The lake comprises the nature reserve “Wisła”, which protects a species of trout. It also complements the scenic Beskid landscape to be admired during the romantic walks.
