The Church of Saint Mary Magdalene in Kuźnia Raciborska was built in the early twentieth century. It is not the first church in the town. When the present church was being erected, an older wooden shrine on the same site was dismantled. It dated to the seventeenth century, and was rebuilt several times. It was built at the same time as the foundation of the ironworkers’ settlement of Segenberg.
