“Grey Chemistry " is the popular name of the building of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Silesian university of Technology, located at ks. Marcina Strzody Street. Originally, it was built in 1911 as a secondary school for boys and girls. The building was designed in the German Neo-Renaissance style, and it owes its name to grey brick veneer walls. In the 1920s, the school was expanded with one wing, which this time was erected in the style of early Modernism.
