The castle of Racibórz is an old stronghold, whose origins are not fully known. The building preserved to this day results from many reconstructions carried out in the following centuries, and therefore, it combines different architectural styles. One of the most valuable objects is the castle chapel of Saint Thomas Becket of Canterbury, known as the pearl of the Silesian Gothic. The castle of Racibórz I s now open to the public. Numerous cultural events are held here.
Punkt Informacji Turystycznej i Zamek otwarty jest w następujących dniach i godzinach:
- w okresie od 1 kwietnia do 30 września: od wtorku do niedzieli: 10.00-18.00,
- w okresie od 1 października do 31 marca: od wtorku do piątku: 9.00-16.00, w soboty, niedziele i święta: 10.00-18.00.
Punkt Informacji Turystycznej i Zamek są zamknięte:
- 1 stycznia (Nowy Rok),
- w sobotę i niedzielę wielkanocną,
- 1 listopada,
- 24 i 25 grudnia.
