One of the many interesting wooden churches of Silesia is located in Ostropa, a district of Gliwice. The church is situated a few miles west of the city, on the Wooden Architecture Trail of the Silesia province. It is difficult to determine the exact date of the construction of the first building on the site of the present church. It was mentioned as early as 1340, but we know that the building was burned down during the Hussite Wars. In the seventeenth century, it was replaced by a new shrine.

The loft in the granary in Gliwice is another successful example of the revitalization of former industrial buildings in Silesia. The project of the adaptation was created at the “Medusa Group” designing studio from Bytom, also known for the “Bolko” loft building in that city. There are luxurious apartments and utility rooms in the nineteenth-century Gliwice granary. The project was soon appreciated. It already received the “Superjednostka (Super Unit)” award in 2010 and secured its place in the prestigious catalog of "101 most interesting Polish buildings of the decade."

The cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Gliwice is among the most beautiful neo-Gothic churches in Silesia. It was built in the years 1896-1900. The building was erected in the Latin cross plan, with three naves and the choir. The tower rises up to a height of over 70 meters. The facade and the walls of the church were decorated with impressive and glazed and clinker bricks. In 1992, Pope John Paul II raised the church to the rank of the Cathedral of the Gliwice diocese.
Gliwice
The Piast Castle in Gliwice is one of the landmarks of the city. Its origin is attributed to Siemowit, the first ruler who styled himself Duke of Gliwice. He reigned in the first half of the fourteenth century. The stone and brick stronghold is situated in the line of the city walls. It currently houses a branch of the Gliwice Museum. The collections gathered here present the history of the city and life of its people from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century.

Powstaliśmy 10 lat temu, aby spełnić nasze marzenia. Te związane z muzyką, końmi, jurą krakowsko – częstochowską i restauracją… Zapraszamy ! Zobaczcie je z nami.
