Łański Potok is a stream, which originates on the northern slopes of Zebrzydka (575 m above sea level) and Łazek (713 m), located in the Błatnia massif of the Silesian Beskid. The stream leaves the mountains and flows through the rolling terrain of the Silesian Foothills. The reserve was established in the forested areas on the both sides of the creek, in the vicinity of Grodziec and Świętoszówka. It primarily protects characteristic of riparian communities.
