Katowice
The complex of buildings of the Silesian Museum, situated in the former Katowice coal mine, along with other institutions which are being built here will create the so-called Cultural District - the new centre of cultural life for the city. The coal mine "Katowice" operated from the third decade of the nineteenth century until the end of the last century. In total, about 120 million tons of coal were mined. Characteristic old buildings have remained of the mine, many of whom were built as early as the nineteenth century, and each individual building was given the features inspired by the Romanesque and Gothic styles.

Czeladź
The Gallery "Elektrownia" (“Power Station”) is housed in the old building of the largest and most modern industrial plant the town city - the coal mine "Saturn". The building was built of brick, in the style characteristic of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. It was designed by outstanding Polish architect, Joseph Pius Dziekoński. Inside the building, there are art exhibitions, an original turbine, a control panel and a powerful flywheel.

Wisła
The Andrzej Podżorski Beskid Museum in the town of Wisła is located in the center of the resort town, near the Bogumił Hoff Square. Since its beginning, the museum has been housed in one of the most beautiful historic building – an eighteenth-century inn made of stone. The main purpose of the museum is to collect and present the cultural heritage of the Silesian Beskid highlanders. Next to the museum there is an enclave of heritage buildings.

Wisła
Adam Małysz is already regarded one of the legends of Polish sports. In Wisła, which is the home town of this ski jumper, there is a real find for every fan. This is the Adam Małysz Gallery of Sports Trophies. In a few rooms of the building at 48a 1 Maja Street, Crystal Balls of the four-time World Cup winner, medals of the World Championships and the Olympic Games, trophies, sports equipment, a ski suit, and memorabilia of the champion form Wisła are on display.

Świerklany
Amateur art painting has a rich tradition in Upper Silesia. One of the greatest artists was Ludwik Holesz (died in 1999), whose paintings can be found in numerous domestic and foreign collections. Every day, he worked as a miner in the mine "Moszczenica", and in his spare time he painted original pictures. You can see them in the gallery, which was opened in the family home of Ludwig Holesz in Świerklany, in 1986. His wife, daughter and grandson also deal with art.

Łączka
In Łączka, a small village located in Cieszyn Silesia, there is a gallery of sculptures and paintings of Andrzej Klimowski, a highlander born in Nowy Targ, and brought up in one of the settlements of the man who, after moving to Skoczów discovered his artistic soul. In the gallery, we can see interesting carvings and wood reliefs, paintings, and a regional chamber of old appliances and tools.

Jastrzębie-Zdrój
The Gallery of the History of Jastrzębie Zdrój is the best place to learn about the history of this young city. The Gallery was set up in 2002, but since 2010, it has been housed in the former Baths II, a more appropriate place. Here, you can see permanent and temporary exhibitions. The exhibitions include the local history of coal mining and the presentation of the interior of a traditional Silesian kitchen.

Istebna
Istebna, one of the most popular holiday destinations, has been lucky to host distinguished guests who - attracted by her beauty - remained here for their whole life, enriching local culture. This was the case of Ludwik Konarzewski Sr., a prominent artist, who started his family’s relationships with Istebna. We can learn more about the history and work of this extraordinary family by visiting their home workshop and gallery located on the hill of Bucznik. On the premises, there is a wooden chapel of the Konarzewski family built in 1923 as a votive offering for the return from Siberia.

Pszczyna
The Stables of the Prince of Pless are one of the many attractions of the town, which after a complete renovation has regained luster in the twenty-first century. The complex of buildings consisting of proper stables, a coach house, garages and a riding school is located slightly northeast of the palace. These facilities were built (mostly) the historizing styles in the second half of the nineteenth century. Unfortunately, the building of riding arena was "modernized" in the communist era, when it was adapted to a sports hall.

Częstochowa
While in Częstochowa, it is worth visiting the Prof. Wacław Sakwa Gallery of Art Casting. Here, we will see a collection of antique and contemporary art castings made in various techniques. The most precious exhibit in the collection is a fifteenth-century bell. Prof. Wacław Sakwa, the patron of the gallery, served, among others, as rector of the Silesian University of Technology.
