Ogodzieniec Silesian castle was the winner of the VII edition of the competition on the Polish Tourist Organization Certificate - Best Tourist Product 2009. He was among 14 certified tourism products.
Ogrodzieniec is not the first destination of award-winning product śląkim certified POT. In previous years the prize is won: Zabrze - a city of tourism industry (2003), Beskid Culture Week and the historic mine "Ignacy" in Rybnik (2004), Walking Tyskie Brewery (2005), Silesian Cuisine Festival "Silesian Tastes and Monuments of Technology (2007). The last product in 2008 was also awarded for the first time granted in the history of the Gold Certificate POT.
