Hekele - Herring appetiser on wholemeal toast traditional recipe

Ingredients:

  • 20 dag herring fillets
  • 2 eggs
  • 10 dag pickled cucumbers
  • 8 dag onion
  • salt
  • pepper
  • mustard

 

Directions:

Chop finely the herrings, eggs, onion and pickled cucumbers (without peel), season with mustard and pepper. Mix all the ingredients carefully. Serve with wholemeal or toast bread.

 

 

This meal was prepared by the team of Two Killers (Qubus Hotel Katowice) during the 4th “Silesian Tastes Festival 2009” in Pszczyna. The Team won 1st place in professional category.
