Boil the hemp seeds, draining water several times to eliminate bitterness. When the hemp seeds begin to crack, drain them and grind with wooden club on a sieve, adding water to bring out milk. Boil the milk with water and onion head. Remove the onion after boiling, and add sweet cream to the milk. Season it with pepper, salt and sugar. Serve thesoup with roasted barley groats.
The name of the meal derives from its main ingredient: flax hemp or linseed. It is an old Silesian Christmas meal. According to folk beliefs, this meal had magical power thanks to the large amount of seeds.
