The Reserve „Wielki Las" (Great Forest) is located in the Landscape Park “Stawki”. It is one of the smallest protected areas of this type in Poland. The reserve was created in 1982 to protect the most valuable natural part of the park. It has an area of 32 ha. It is a swampy area with numerous streams and wetlands, covered with a wet alder-ash forest. In the groundcover, there are, among others, such plants as northern giant horsetail, clasping twistedstalk and common spotted orchid.
