Mount Matyska is a distinctive, treeless hill with a height of 612 m. Geographically; it belongs to the Silesian Beskids, towering above the villages of Radziechowy and Przybędza, which are located near Żywiec. On the top we can find the Millennium Cross, erected to commemorate the Jubilee Year. Next to it, a mound was built, on which the earth from Katyń and the grave of Stanisław Pyjas were placed. Mount Matyska is also known by the Way of the Cross with intriguing sculptures.
