An unusual, small stone cross in the shape of the letter "T", which is only half a meter tall and located on Lagiewniki Street, the main street of Bytom, is undoubtedly one of the city's most peculiar monuments. There are various theories about the origins of this intriguing object, in which people saw either a typical conciliation cross or relics from the times of Saints Cyril and Methodius - and even archaic pagan sculptures.
Chorzów
The Fortified Area of Silesia was constructed along the sixty-kilometer interbellum border of Poland and Germany in the area of then-divided Upper Silesia. The line of fortifications was to defend the Polish part of Upper Silesia against the aggression of the German troops. One of the most important elements of the central part of the line is the Łagiewniki stronghold located between Bytom and Chorzów. It was a set of fortifications, among which we can find a neatly renovated bunker at 168 Katowicka Street in Chorzów. It is a two-floor construction, with almost two meter thick walls.

Żabie Doły (roughly translated as "Frog Ditches") is a nature and landscape protected area in Silesia, located entirely within the limits of the cities of Bytom, Chorzów and Piekary Ślaskie. The local landscape resembles that of Masuria, a lake district in north-eastern Poland. Żabie Doły is a protected area of endangered species, including little bittern, Eurasian bittern and mute swan. Interestingly, it owes its appearance to many centuries of human activity, in particular underground mining and metal smelting.

For many decades, tempered glass panels of the windows of the buildings of the coal mine "Rozbark" in Bytom greeted all coming to the city from Chorzów. The mine was put into operation in 1863 and ceased to work in 2004. The windows were dismantled, but a few historic, brick buildings have been preserved, including a century-old pithead building at the helm. Thanks to revitalization its impressive interior will be adapted to the Dance Centre.

The winding tower of the mine shaft "Krystyna" in the coal mine "Szombierki" in Bytom is one of the most original constructions of this type in Silesia. It was built in 1928, replacing the original tower named "Kaiser Wilhelm" of the then mine "Hohenzollern". They introduced here a pioneering solution of mounting an electrical winding engine on top of the tower. . Its shape is often compared to the characteristic mining hammer. The winding tower is 57 m tall.
