Strumień is one of the smallest towns in Silesia. However, it was granted city at the turn of the fifteenth and since then, it has always been a town. Despite many natural disasters that have affected Strumień, the town has preserved a historic urban layout comprising the market square, streets extending from its corners, a nice town hall, and stylish, small townhouses. With the nearby church of Saint Barbara, the town as a whole has an urban-rural character.
The Church of Saint Barbara in Strumień is a typical late Baroque building erected at the end of the eighteenth century. Its founders were then owners of Cieszyn Silesia - Duke Albert Casmir and his wife, Maria Christina. A tower topped with a spherical helmet dominates over the church from outside, while inside, it is worth noting, among others, late baroque altars and a stained glass window with the figure of Mikołaj Brodecki, the founder of the town.

The church of St James the Apostle in Wisła Mała, which originally was dedicated to the Nativity of the Mother of God, is one of the wooden churches of the district of Pszczyna. The present church and the belfry tower, which was built later, are from the eighteenth century and were erected on the site of the previous building, dating from the fifteenth or sixteenth centuries. In the interwar period, the church was enlarged. It is located on the Wooden Architecture Trail of the Silesia province.
The church in Chybie was erected in the inter-war period, It features an interesting architecture, with a fanciful façade, designed by Henryk Szołdra. Its interior was arranged by Jan Wałach, a known painter from Istebna. The church is a Marian shrine. Since the 1950s, inside the church, there has been a miraculous picture of the Mother of God, which had been brought here from the chapel in Gołysz, before it was pulled down because of the construction of the Goczałkowice reservoir.
The Roman Catholic Church dedicated to Our Lady of Częstochowa in Drogomyśl in Cieszyn Silesia is one of the most interesting examples of modern religious architecture in Poland.
