Koszęcin among the 7 Wonders of European Funds
1 October 2010 during a gala at the Dramatic Theatre in Warsaw, organized under the Third Forum of European Funds, we met the winners of this year, already the third, edition of "Poland even more beautiful - 7 Wonders of European Funds.
With great joy and satisfaction to announce that the category of "sight" prize won Song and Dance Ensemble "Śląsk" for the design of the Silesian Centre for Regional Education in Koszęcin.
Silesian Centre for Regional Education in the palace and park in Koszęcin was thanks to strong support from the Integrated Regional Operational Programme. Centre has been engaged in educational activities, concerts, training, tourism and recreation. Also referred to as a dynamically developing, inter alia, effectively harvested by grants from EU funds. Further extension of the center was placed in the key projects under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment. However, measures of the Regional Operational Programme of Silesia in the years 2007-2013 have helped in organizing two major events of large scale: the Garden of Fine and Silesia Silesia Christmas 2010.
The aim of the competition held each year, "Poland even more beautiful - 7 Wonders of European Funds" is to identify the best projects implemented in co-financing from European funds, which have contributed to increasing the attractiveness of tourist and cultural Polish.
Until this year reported 138 projects, among which were nominated 21st Among the nominees from the region in addition to the Silesian Centre for Regional Education also included an adaptation of the Public Library building in Mikolow and promotional campaign Silesia. The jury selected the winners in the seven main categories of competition: Monument, Regeneration, Tourism and the international border, in rural areas, Active tourism, tourist facility, a promotional product.
