Nowe Chechło
The Nakło-Chechło Lake is a reservoir of water, which since the 70s of the last century has been very popular - both among Silesian water sports fans and lovers of lazy sunbathing. The reservoir was created by flooding the borrow pit of filling sand. The reservoir distinguishes itself with first class water purity. One way to get to the beach and leisure centers is to go in an Upper Silesian Narrow Gauge Railway carriage.

Międzybrodzie Bialskie
Międzybrodzkie Lake, also known as Międzybrodzkie Water Reservoir, is an artificial lake on the Soła river, formed by a dam in Porąbka. The reservoir was built in 1937. Originally, the purpose of its construction was to control flooding. Later, the lake became a recreational destination and a power plant was built here. The area of the reservoir is a starting point of interesting trails leading onto the nearby peaks of the Little Beskid.

Tresna
Żywiec Lake was created by the damming of the Soła river in the 60s of the last century whose valley was divided by a dam. The southern end of the lake, located within the Żywiecka Valley, almost reaches the area of downtown Żywiec. The northern part of the lake (in the vicinity of the dam) occupies a narrow valley, cutting into the slopes of the Little Beskids. The Żywiec reservoir is used for producing energy, flood control and tourism and recreation.

The Siamoszyce water reservoir is located in the commune of Kroczyce, in the district of Zawiecie. The reservoir was built on the Krztynia river flowing near the village. It is a flow-through reservoir of an area of 20 hectares, situated picturesquely between high banks and a sandy beach. Gliwice
Lake Dzierżno Duże and Lake Dzierżno Małe were created by filling in the sand old borrow with water. The older reservoir is Dzierżno Małe, which was created in 1938. It is located in the mouth of the Drama river flowing into the Gliwice Canal. The nearby reservoir of Dzierżno Duże (Rzeczycki Water Reservoir) was established in 1964. The both names of the two water bodies come from Dzierżno, a district of Pyskowice. Lake Dzierżno Małe serves primarily recreational purposes.

The Przeczycki Water Reservoir is one of the popular recreation destinations for the residents of Upper Silesia. It was created on the Czarna Przemsza river in 1963. It is located a few miles southwest of Siewierz. You can go fishing, Sailing or do motor boating sports there. The retention reservoir serves as a protection from flooding and secures an ecological flow for the lower-lying areas.

Poraj
The Poraj Lake is a water reservoir in the commune of Poraj, not far from Częstochowa. It was created by damming the Warta river in the 70s of the twentieth century. It is a picturesque water body that has already blended in with the surrounding landscape. That is why, there are numerous cottages built around it. The lake also attracts anglers. However, bathing and swimming have been recently banned due to the water pollution.
