Pierwsza perełka ziemi tarnogórskiej to Zabytkowa Kopalnia Srebra (SZT). Można tam zwiedzić fragment kilkudziesięciokilometrowych wyrobisk podziemnych, chodników i sztolni odwadniających kopalń rud ołowiu, srebra i cynku, działających jeszcze do początku XX wieku. Przy kopalni od 1976 roku mieści się Skansen Maszyn Parowych.

Jednym z najciekawszych eksponatów Skansenu jest maszyna parowa z 1907 roku, a szczególnymi atrakcjami dla dzieci są kolorowe parowozy, przypominające ogromnych rozmiarów zabawki.
Kolejnym etapem zwiedzania jest utworzony w 1903 roku Park Miejski, obejmujący swoim zasięgiem m.in. staw z fontanną, drewnianą wieżę widokową, korty tenisowe oraz muszlę koncertową. Kolejno, trasa wycieczki wiedzie do Zamku w Tarnowicach, wzniesionego w latach 1520-1570.

Obecnie, po gruntownej rewitalizacji, jest on częścią Historycznego Centrum Rzemiosła Dawnego.

Po obejrzeniu zamku, trasa wiedzie do Sztolni Czarnego Pstrąga (SZT). Stanowi ona 600-metrowy odcinek między dwoma szybami: „Ewa” oraz „Sylwester”. Zwiedzanie odbywa się za pomocą łodzi, których przystań znajduje się w podszybiu szybu „Sylwester”. W sztolni panuje swoisty klimat chłodu i wilgoci. Od dawien dawna spotkać tam można nietoperze, które urządziły tam sobie sypialnię.

Historic Silver Mine

"Tarnowskie Góry was a mining town already in the medieval times. For centuries, mining of silver and lead ores ensured prosperity of its residents. Mining ceased in the 20s of the last century. The Historic Silver Mine and the Open Air Museum of Steam Machines in Tarnowskie Góry invite to a nearly two-kilometer walk along the tourist underground route, as well as to the exhibition devoted to ore mining and the open-air museum with a collection of steam engines and locomotives - mostly from the early twentieth century."

The Renaissance castle in Stare Tarnowice was built in the sixteenth century at the initiative of Piotr Wrochem. This building was rebuilt and changed the owners several times. For a longer time, it belonged to the powerful Donnersmarck family. After the Second World War, it was nationalized, and shared the fate of other residences, which were devastated by serving as the premises of state farms. At the end of the 2010, a renovation of the castle was completed. Today, the castle houses the Center for Arts and Old Crafts.

"The Black Trout Adit in Tarnowskie Góry is one of the most interesting remains of the centuries-old mining of galena, lead and silver ores in this area. In the nineteenth century, it was built as a drainage tunnel in the mine ""Frederick."" Today, it is a remarkable tourist attraction, offering the longest underground boat rafting in Poland. It is up to 600 meters long! Along the route one can see a spectacular rocky gorge, ""black"" trout and bats. We can also listen to interesting mining stories.
