The Czantoria Chairlift is the most
modern in the Polish part of the Beskid
Mountains. It enables active holidays in
the mountains throughout the year.
Within six minutes (!) the cable railway
brings tourists to Polana Stokłosica, a
glade stretching up to the height of 855
m above sea level. Here you can enjoy
the beautiful panorama of the Silesian
Beskid and Ustroń, ride on a summer
toboggan run, or go up to the observation
tower on the top of Czantoria or just go
hiking - for example, along the Main
Beskid Trail. In winter, there is excellent
marked ski runs in the area.
The Stone of Evangelists on
Bukowa in Wisła is one of the nine so-called forest churches in Cieszyn Silesia. In the second half of the seventeetn century,
almost throughout the entire century, persecuted Lutherans from Wiśła and the
nearest areas held secret services in
this mountain refuge. Till today, an altar stone with carved signs of the cross and chalice has
been preserved on the forest glade.
The Falconry "Anatum" is located on the
picturesque glade of Stokłosica, in the
vicinity of the upper station of the chairlift,
which takes tourists and skiers onto the
massif of Czantoria. The facility deals with
rearing and rehabilitation of birds of prey.
Falconry is a way of hunting now known only
to a rather small group of enthusiasts, and
therefore the falconry on the slopes of
Czantoria aims at popularizing the
knowledge about it.
The Regional Forest Environmental Education Center “Leśnik", which means forester in English, is managed by the forestry management of Ustroń. Organized groups can explore a nature and forest path with a Guide and participate in lectures. The center has also offer food and Accommodation.
Palenica, rising to a height of 672 meters
above sea level, is one of the peaks
belonging to the range of Równica and
Trzy Kopce, located on the eastern side
of the Vistula valley. The top lies within
the administrative boundaries of Ustroń
and dominates over Jaszowiec, a
recreation district of the town. On the
slopes of Palenica there are a chairlift
and an artificially snow-covered and
illuminated ski run. A tourist trail runs
through this area.
