A large cave entrance encourage people to penetrate this cave as early as in the Palaeolithic. This is evidenced by numerous relics found in the cave by archaeologists. It was first mentioned in the Guide ... issued in 1909 by the Polish Country-Lovers Society.
The Towarna and Dzwonnica caves consists of levels which make up the cave system which is easy to explore and thus frequently visited by tourists wandering in the vicinity of Olsztyn.
The geological path “In the Land of White Rocks” [green signs] leads to the caves. A convenient car park is located near the monument and cemetery of the victims of World War II in Olsztyn
